Hyrule Fields
A long, lush grass plain - somewhere between here and there. It's natural beauty radiates in the now shimmering sun. The green grass sways gently in the summer's breeze, and the world above sighs at it's beautiful creation.
In the middle of the beautiful field, lies a small battered house. Time and wonder leak from the frayed timbers. A sort of evil taint permeates into the surrounding field. It calls your curiosity, and jerks you in it's direction. The common site screams for your attention and wonder, it's nearly audible. The barely standing structure aches with each slight breeze. The chipped white paint peels slowly, and a shutter bangs mercilessly on the cracked wall. On top of the rickety roof, a shimmering obsidian blade is peirced into the tallest beam, a red cloth tied around the hilt. Under the right gaze of the sun, the blade contains small indenation reading: I'm back |
((Living character search go! ....****, only an evil guy who needs to recover from being incinerated left -.- Time for a new one.))
Green eyes scanned the vastiness of the field and and a frown formed on the man's face. This wan't even close to where he was suppose to go. The words of that De-. No, that thing wasn't even a Demon, echoed back. Of his compelled servitude that saved him from death. Servitude that, from the looks of it, would take another week of travel to get to. Well no rush, wasn't as though he was in a hurry. Dyv then looked down at his outfit with distate. Everything was brown and tan and out of place. Sighing he trudged across the field, lamenting that the coolness of night was hours away. |
The mournful howl that cuts across the field carries with it a twinge of sorrowful joy. The sound pulls at the heartstrings as it sends shivers up and down the spines. Not too far from where Dyv stands, prehaps even too close for comfort, the songsinger quiets her voice and takes a questioning sniff at the air.
"Something's on the air tonight. Change, maybe. But...oddly familiar. Whatever it is, I just know that I'll be the one stuck in the middle of it." Wolf's thoughts echo in her laughing eyes. Her lips part and the big pink tounge rolls out. Moving soft-footed in the sun-drenched grass, Wolf adopts the gait that is unique to her kind. A tireless canter, a gait that can hold for hours. But Wolf wasn't planning on running for hours. She was planning to meet somebody. Cresting a small hill, Wolf sees Dyv and slides along towards him, curious as ever to be a part of things. ((*wipes eyes* Aw, reunions)) |
*A woman adorned in dark blue garb dashes through the woods as if moving towars something, but her face shows something else. From out of a shrub jumps a man dressed in a highway man's coat, the large collar hiding his face. The woman reacts and springs off of a tree past over the man, shifting her weight in mid-air and delivering a sharp kick to the side of his face. She lands on one knee and immediately safety rolls forward continuing her sprint, the long flowing fabric attached to her arms streaming behind her. Finally the trees break and she comes out into the clearing. A beautiful field, bruised only by the ramshackle home that has been founded upon it. The young woman runs towards the home, hoping, silently praying no one will be there.*
|
Dyv looks over at the Wolf and raises an eyebrow under his large-rimmed hat. "Shoo, I have no food for you."
|
Wolf stares at him, tilts her head, and draws closer. "Why would you travel without food? Are you stupid or something?" Perfectly aware that she had just broke many laws of the natural world by opening her mouth and speaking, Wolf watches with mischievious eyes to see how Dyv will react.
|
Suddenly, the sky begins to darken for those retreating along the Hyrule field. A funnel of electricity peirces the sky, and plummets headlong into the ground near the home. After the spark ceases, a cloaked man stands in the wake of the funnel. An intense radiation of hatred permeating from his existance. The figure stamps out the embers created from the bolt, and raises a maddening gaze at the blade peircing the now relit, sunshining sky. His eyes reflect the surface of hell, and his dark garb cradle his powerful presence. He withdraws his blade at the approaching maiden, mumbling sadistically.
"How nice.. to greet your new neighbor." His voice seems to scratch at sanity, and burn into ears. His voice resounds throughout the plains, piercing and menacing as always |
Another eyebrow is raised, but the traveler doesn't seem to make any gesture toward being alarmed by a talking wolf. "I do not eat flesh or flower, nor would I give it to an animal sniffing around if I had any."
He looks toward the building and the flash that came with it. Tilting the rim of his hat down, he walked past the wolf and continued onward, which would take him past the house. |
Wolf, of course, takes this as an open invitation to tag along. Memory pulls at her when the flash occured, but she shakes off the feeling. "What do you eat, then? You got to eat something, don't you? I remember one time, years ago, when I met this wraithy figure. He didn't eat anything either, but when I asked him if he was hungry, he seemed very obilged to suck out my soul. And while I'm sure getting your soul sucked out is an interesting experience, I'm not too sure it'd be helpful to a long life, so I politely disagreed, but he insisted, so I had to run pretty fast. Do you suck souls, then?"
|
The figure takes an easy leap onto the beam containing the blade, and scouts the field below. His gaze catches a straggling wolf, and a mysterious man. He smirks mysteriously, and waves his blade into the sky, cutting the air above him and leaking an intense flame. His gaze fixates on the wolf, and he licks his lips hungrily
"Well, well... " He leaps gracefully from the beam, without a sound. And begins approaching the two, spiraling his blade between his fingers. "I have some new living beings to add to my rather extending list of easy exterminations." |
Annoyed that the wolf is following him, he quickens his pace. "I am of the Incubi, let that be your answer."
Scoffing at the man's proclaim, he speaks calmly. "I don't care if you want to kill the wolf, but I have things to do. Good day." He continues without further acknowledgement to the man, ignoring them both completely. |
Wolf stares at the man, dumbstruck out of words. Momentarily. "Where did you pop up from...?"
|
"Meh, nowhere..."
He shrugs innocently, and resheathes his blade. "Y'know.." He gazes back at the mysterious man "Nothing pisses me off more than someone who lacks humor, and who seems too busy to chat with his potential murderer." A maddening smiles spreads across his face |
Wolf peers closer at the man. Memory tugs stronger at her. "I know this man.." Deciding that their was only one logical way to make certain of this, she jumps at the man. Yes, that was the most logical way.
|
The man chuckles and tips his hat up to face the man, he's smiling. "I don't find men at all interesting, and as valid as your point is, I won't change my disposition now. That would be cowardice aimed at winning your favor, wouldn't it?
He walks to the side, crossing his arms. "I suppose if it is your wish, than I have no choice but to fight you." |
While his attention is still fixated on the mysterious man, Shiloko blasts the familiar canine backwards - a more intense power felt from the sharp blow. He smiles curtly.
"Wolf. You never learn, do you? I dont seek a fight, really. More or less, a possible location of a certain.. individual." |
"Well then I find myself able to empathize. I suppose I will give you information, if you will let me on my way."
|
Wolf lands and rolls back a few feet. Immediatly after, she's on her feet and growling. "You not seeking a fight? I'll believe that when I see it. Who are you looking for? Not your brother, he's dead."
|
As the encounter between Shiloko and Wolf occured, meanwhile, a sad
event was about to happen not far from them - by a river in the woods. Weary from many days of sorrowful crying and depression, a maiden sat by the river and gazed at the dark cold water with a longing in her eyes. Clutched in her hand was a Kunai knife, and she was considering to end her life with it. But who would care if she should go? She was one of the last Sheikah in Hyrule, and one that lived alone without anyone to love her or for her to love in return. So long had she been forced to endure the pain of loneliness in her heart, and couldn't bear it any longer. And as the strange happenings went on elsewhere, this maiden considered if she were doing the right thing.....great tears trickling down onto the tattered, dark indigo Sheikahn tunic that she always wore most days. Oh divine Goddesses, creators of this world and keepers of order, if you wish that I continue living a life so filled with sorrow and unhappiness, I cry out to you that you send me a reason to go on living...a purpose..." |
Shiloko pauses for a moment with Wolf's words.
"Dead?..." He bows his head respectively for a few moments, and quickly jerks his head. "Oh well. Traveler, my name is Shiloko Onarov. I've been penned up for several years, and have just escaped. I'm searching for the one they call "Marin" as to exact a sort of revenge. If you know where she is, I'd gladly except information." He lowers a gaze to wolf "Look, I'm not looking for a fight. At least not with you." A genuine smile appears on his face. --- Meanwhile, in the forest, a gentle hand appears on Kara's shoulder. The hand's owner stares down at the mentally wounded Shiekah and whispers: "You won't lack a purpose anymore." |
*The dark clad enchantress lies in the grass, looking up at the sky after being knocked backward by the force of Shiloko's "entrance". She rolls her eyes and shakes her head slowly.*
"From the claws to the jaws perhaps?" *She sits up and looks at the hat adorning man and the strange talking Wolf.* "Hmm... it would appear as if this fellow is important." *The woman speaks as she looks at Shiloko.* "Approach with caution? Yes, I believe we shall." *She stays low and creeps slowly and quietly, one arm bent before as a guard and the other around her back where she could quickly grab her jintachi or her kamas.* |
Wolf studies Shiloko curiously. "Where've you been, Shiloko? You've been gone for nearly 12 years. And why are you looking for Marin?"
|
Dyv glances at Wolf, somewhat annoyed. "He said he wanted revenge." He gropes for a memory connected to the name 'Marin' in the archives of his mind, but he finds nothing. The name 'Onarav' he knew, he had been Estecia when his supposed Megiddo was attempted, and failed. That was all he knew, however. "I'm afraid I do not know a Marin, perhaps if I had more information I could be of assistance."
|
Wolf returns his annoyed glance coupled with a bloodcurling snarl. "Why are you helping him?! Don't you know who he is? This is Shiloko! Blow up the world Shiloko!" She bares her fangs at her old nemesis and shakes her head back and forth. "I'm not gonna let you hurt anybody! I have no idea where you've been or what you've been doing or who you've killed, but I'm not gonna let you do that while I'm around! Old times, Shilly. Old times!"
|
A young looking girl with short, dark red hair and a red form-fitting dress literally falls from the sky behind Wolf and Dyv. A swirl of black feathers surround her landing and she looks at Onarav. "Wow, that's interesting. Another Abbisian survived along with the others. Grand." The young girl looks at Wolf, then to Dyv. She had been observing from the air for some time. "So this animal wants to fight you, and this other 'thing' just wants to pass on? You going to entertain them, Abbis?"
((Nice to see you again Marin. If you didn't know, It'sa me. Cloud.)) |
"Shut up, Wolf, animals don't have souls so no one cares what you say." He turns at Kneel, and sneers. "Incubus, not thing, you abomination."
|
"Enough to be the underclass. Why are you helping the extinct? He's just going to want to turn into a mindless barbarian on you afterwards. Even though he looks kind of... small. If I were you I'd just try and kill him now." She looks back at the younger Onarav. "And if my memory works well, you remind me of the bearded Abbisian at that forsaken castle. You wouldn't happen to be related to huim, would you?"
|
The Incubus tips his hat forward to cover his eyes, and crosses his arms. "Your opinions mean nothing, so leave me to my buisness."
|
"Not as touchy as I would have thought, but it's your funeral, you dirty sex fiend." Knell scoffs and mutters to herself for a second before speaking up, to no one in particular. "I'm here looking for someone. A girl, apparently named Marin from your conversation. People born of angelic descent aren't exactly praised where I come from, I'm just here to win a 'get back home' ticket. I'm sure my good buddy Alinos won't mind being the left hand of God along with me to try and get back up there. This place will be crowded before long, but I was on my way to the castle before spotting you three. This Abbis will attract some pokey folks as well, so mind your backs children."
|
*She passes by the gathering of entities, undoubtedly noticed. She accepts the fact that they are rather unconcerned with her prescence, she prefers it that way. She makes her way to the other end of the field and enters the woods again, never taking her eyes off of them for long.*
"One would think that my luck would improve sometime." *She maintains her low stance, but she moves much quicker through the forest. Before stumbling upon the Sheikah and the other figure. She speaks to herself.* "Kinda crowded in this wilderness." *She reaches her hand to her back, taking a hold of the handle to her jintachi.* |
"No soul?" Wolf's intelligent eyes penetrate Dyv. "You say I have no soul, that I am a stupid animal? Then tell me how, when my friends died-some at the hands of Shilly here-I grieved for them. How the faces of the few I've killed haunt my dreams. Tell me how I can sing, if I have no soul." Turning coldly from Dyv, Wolf examines Knell, then sighs and returns her attention to Shiloko, watching him carefully, fully expecting him to attempt to, once again, blow her to smithereens.
|
OOC: Man, it feels so damn good to do this again... ^o^
BIC: Startled greatly by the sudden touch of the stranger, Kara fell backwards onto her butt in alarm - the Kunai slipping from her grasp onto the ground. "Shimatta... who...who are you? It amazes me that you were able to sneak up on me like that - my race has keen senses, and I didn't feel you come." Picking up her Kunai where it had fallen, she returned the knife to its place by her side, then cautiously rose to her feet. She eyed the stranger with much curiousity as well as worry for not sensing this person's presence... |
((OOC: I haven't roleplayed for a long time... I feel like Dad coming out to play with the kids.))
*Stares at the Sheikah steadily, staying low in her guarded pose. Looking at this remnant of a nearly forgotten race she finally decides to speak.* I am Lynx Zia Li. Who are you, and what is going on here? |
"Enough! All of you!"
Shilokos gaze snaps from one of innocent joy, to a positive snarl. "Wolf, you have a soul; Yes I am survived and on the hunt (He licks his jowls) and I'm sorry you lack information for me." He raises his arm slowly, and extends his palm in wolfs general direction, an intense heat begins rising slowly around him. The ground within a 2 mile diameter explodes violently sending dust, grass, and the beleagured house into the sky. Miraculously, the people around him remain on a small parcel of grass left on purpose. He smiles knowingly, and stops his movement for a second. The debris sprays in all direction and showers the remainder of Hyrule field with dying nature. A look of sinister intent on his face. A shadow blots the sun in the mere blink of an eye. "... She comes..." |
This display garners a 'humph' from Dyv, who seems to be contemplating what he just saw. "Hm, so he is an Abbis. His aura is different though, interesting..."
"Your friend I take it? I'll have to stay and watch after all this." The Incubus crosses his arms, awaiting the all but promised show. |
An intense feeling surrounds the area, and shiloko remains in his upright, palmed-out position. His eyes fixated on whats in front of him, but his other senses highly alert, and his muscles tense for any surprise around him.
A white-robed young woman emerges from nowhere, and stands herself in front of Shiloko. She stares mysteriously, her hauntingly beautiful presense shocking any who see. She smiles sweetly, and fixates her gaze on Shiloko. A bitter sense of resentment surging from her. Shiloko: "... I dont have the option of playing with this one..." He mumbles quietly to himself. Marin: "Shiloko, you've talking to yourself for the final time..." |
The apparent tension isn't something Dyv contemplates, nor tries to understand. He simply stands there, examining the Abbis and the Angel standing before him. That sort of pairing dated back to that ancient war he heard so much about. It was intriguining, if not another way to delay his inevitable destiny.
__ Meanwhile, back at the It'd been some time since the three Gins, those fragmented from the complete Gin all those millenia ago, had parted aways once again. The only of their children, of their family, left around in that land was Ayn, and it was imperative she be kept safe, and Onarav imagined her father, his 'brother', had taken her somewhere where the mortal Gaia wouldn't be found. He had departed from his second brother, he needed time alone. To contemplate his life, the life that lasted long beyond the day that should of been his death. Of all the things he remembered, it was the losses. First his daughter, but at least in her absence she escaped the war, but then there was Vera...the loss that embittered him and sparked his hateful nature. He was never the father that he should of been after that, then the war brought everything else to hell. His eldest son, Gale, had hated him then. Could he blame him? No, the truth was he hated himself too. Then he returned to his son's home in Estecia, only to find that his son died of the fate that should of killed him. Loss. The same loss of the one he loved, the only love he ever had in years after years. He couldn't take losing that, just like his father couldn't, and it killed him. His youngest son? He didn't even know if he was alive. Now, finally ready to accept his responsibilities and mistakes, he had lost his family to his own folly and anger. Vera, Rain, Gale, Shiloko. None of them were left. He lost all of them, if not by bloody death, than by hatred. "Vera, why couldn't it of been me? At least our children would still have a life that way..." [i]He sips his drink and suddenly stops as he sensed something he hadn't in years upon years. He looked up, bemused, and thought to himsef, "Shiloko...?" ((*stabs self for such an angst post*)) |
OOC: Marin is in charge of the stranger who touched my shoulder, Alric.
But I will see what I can do since she hasn't done anything with this... BIC: Still wary of the stranger who had touched her and now remained silent as this other person came forth and introduced herself to Kara, she nervously acknowledged Lynx and respectfully bowed a little to the girl. Another person she didn't sense coming near? How weird... "Well, Lynx, I am Kara Moonblade. Keeper of the Ankoku Star pendant, Wakizashi master, and 1 of the last of the Sheikah warriors of Hyrule." |
Wolf growls, the fur bristling on her neck and across her shoulders. "Marin, don't be a fool! Even if you can survive in a battle against Shiloko, you two would destroy this land!" In a sudden reckless, (typical Wolf) act of courage, she interposes herself between the two. Snarling at each in turn, she regards them with eyes that had seen death, what lies beyond death, and remembered the sights.
|
Knell grins widely as large black wings sprout from out of her shoulder blades. She begins to flap and slowly takes to the skies before observing from a safe distance. "I'm so blessed, killing two birds with one stone. I hope I needn't interfere."
|
Shiloko eyes the blurry object in the sky, and tenses his body. Suddenly, he ends up, face to face with Knell. His face curled in an ugly sneer, and immense power radiating from his body.
--- Marin jerks her head upward, and watches intently. Her breath caught in her chest. |
Knell looks up and she quickly moves back. Looking right into his eyes she realizes it is going to be the Gin fight all over again and tenses up, as a light purple aura surrounds her body. Her dress disappears, leaving a chainmail sleeveless top, skirt, and heavy steel-covered boots. "Abbis, do you see this?" Knell raises her left arm and looks at the bracelet on her wrist, glowing a dim black. "That has the souls of many, many Abbisians. Your people. How about joining them? You can't possibly fight me."
|
I, have surpassed the rest of my race years ago. The power you see before you has ended the lives of many. However...
His face returns to it's normal, slightly mischevious self. I see no reason in ending a puny existance such as yours. He decends back to the ground, and lines himself up to face Marin again. Shall we dance? (to Marin) |
Wolf, baring her teeth, mutters something under her breath and shoves Marin down, staring at her eye to eye. "Listen to me, Marin. You've more sense then that idiot up there! If you fight him, if he fights you, one off you might die, and you two will hurt many innocent lives! Walk away! Treasure your life while you still have it. Do not be so quick to die, cause you're going to anyway! And I've been there, Marin! I know what lies beyond life! So just walk away!" She growls, warning Marin away with fanged teeth and dire words.
|
Marin contorts her face in contemplation for a moment, and nods.
I lack a world who needs me, Wolf, I have nothing left to protect. I see no threat in ending the existance that made mine worse! She brushes wolf off, and once again faces Shiloko. Intense power begins radiating off both of them, each in wait for the others first move. |
Dyv sneers at Wolf, aggitated by her persistant meddling. "You cannot stop them, so just sit back and watch. Abbis and Angels have not fought each other in years. I'm curious to see who will win."
__ Silently Egin trudges into the field, following his senses to the aura of his son. A black cane, having a passive resemblance to the sword Sin, assists the aged man in his strides. Taking a deep breath, he quickens his pace. He could make out figures now, and it wouldn't take him long to get there. The problem was, he wasn't sure what he was actually going to do when he got there. |
Knell drifts down, hovering over Dyv's head. "Years, huh? Well this is all better for me." She relaxes, reclining in the air and sighs. "I've got a deadline to keep."
