• Quoting Messages
  Sometimes it is necessary to quote a message in order to reply. That is fine, but make sure you quote only what is necessary for your reply to make sense. Also make sure you mark the quoted message somehow so that people will actually understand what you're saying. A good way to do that is by making your text in italics. See how to format your text here.

• No Flaming
  Let's face it, flame wars are annoying. I will immediatly BAN whoever starts or takes part on a flame war. I don't care why it started but I will put an end to it the moment I see it. Period. Flaming includes: attacks on other people's opinions in a childish manner, threats of any kind made to any board member, platform wars (computer or console), etc...you get the idea.

• Stay On-Topic
  You know, we have a "Free Topic" forum to avoid posts about Pikachu on the "Zelda In General" forum. Wanna talk about your new Dixie CD? Knock yourself out. On the Free Topic Forum. Off topic threads posted anywhere other than the Free Topic forum will be removed.

• Large Images
  Posting an image to the board is perfectly fine. I'll even teach you how. But keep it under 25 K, and its visual size small please. If your image is larger than that, use a link instead.
  Also make sure the images are either in .jpg or .gif format! Any other file types are not viewable with a web browser. Bmps are a BIG nono.

• Signature
  Important subject. Here are the rules. If your signature does not comply this rules, it will be DISABLED until your fix it.
  
  
  1. SIZE: Please, keep the size of the images under 200x300. Banners rules are here.
  2. TEXT: You can have until 5 lines of text. No more please. Signatures are supposed to be small.
  3. BANNERS: Some members have banners in the signature. If you have a signature, you can't have more than 2 lines of text. It's either the banner and 2 lines of text or 5 lines of text. Also, the size of the banner cannot be bigger than 468x60 (the standard banner size).
  4. NUMBER OF IMAGES: You can have until TWO images in your signature. That means you can have a banner and a small image, two small images. Whatever you want to. Only two.
  5. TEXT SIZE: The text in your signature must not be bigger than the general text in the board (that is, size 2).

• Keep Your Sense of Humor!
  We joke around a lot in this board, about all kinds of things. Normally we do not direct the jokes at anyone, so don't take anything too personally. If you feel that you have been offended, contact any of the moderators and they have the offender by his ears in no time.

• No CAPS, No !!!!!!!!
  It annoys the crap out of everyone. Don't do it. It's not "cool".

• Don't Advertise
  NO ADVERTISING is permitted on the board without the express permission from one of the board moderators or admins. If you come in, and post a message that is simply an advertisement to visit your site/message board etc. (no matter how blunt or subtle you have made your message), you can expect to be warned the first time, and have all your advertising removed. Subsequent offences will get you banned. A small TEXT link to your website in your signature text is acceptable as long as it isn't of a blatant advertising nature (ie: no "COME TO MY SITE @ www.blah.blah).

Tip of all tips: always press in "Preview" box if you're not sure what you're doing will work. This way you prevent errors from showing up on the forum, because then you can just hit the "back" button and fix your mistakes.

Formatting text
This one's pretty simple. For Italics, add [i] at the beggining of the text, and [/i] where you want the italics to stop. It should look like this: [i]I'm quoting you![/i]. When you post the message, the text between the [i] and the [/i] will be in italics. For Bold text, use [b] and [/b].

Posting Images
First you'll need to have the image on the internet. After that, add its complete URL to an image tag. Should look like this: [IMG]http://www.zelda64.com.ar/button.gif[/IMG] When you post, the image will show up. Please keep the image as small as possible. If it's any bigger than 25k, link to it instead.

Adding Links
This one's the easiest. Just type in the URL or e-mail address and it will automatically be a link, like this: http://www.hyrule.com.ar.

If you want to make a link with a description, like this: I have a description!, do this: [URL=http://www.hyrule.com.ar]My nice link with descripcion[/URL].
