PART I 'Name': Toryu Race: Claims to be Human. Is clearly something else. Age: Uncertain. Looks to be in his early 20's Height: 5'6 Weight: 140lbs Hair Color/Style: Dark brown, almost black. Rather spiky and messy. Eye Color: Cloudy blue/grey. Like his hair, it's very hard to get an exact colour for them. Build: He's rather slim, but looks healthy. Believed to be amidexterous, hard to tell. (See Weaknesses) PART II Strengths & Abilities: Damage Resistance: Tor is surprisingly resilient to virtually anything coming his way. He's taken tons of rubble to the head, fireballs and godawful magicks with nary a scratch. The furthest he's been seen to be wounded is a 6-hour bout of unconciousness brought about by particulary persistent Giant. Magic: While Tor's grasp of magic doesn't quite cover the basics, it's clear he has some impressive power locked away... somewhere. If he ever found out what he was doing, he'd be a worrying adversary. In the mean time, he occasionally uses magic by accident/luck (often with more sucess than when he needs it) Luck: Sheer blind luck carries Tor's life along. He's a half-decent swordsman, can dodge bullets and generally do truly insane things, due to the fact that while he totally lacks in skills, he's lucky enough to atleast make a difference Weaknesses: Lack of Will: For Tor, life and death are things that happen to other people. Fighting and, gods forbid, killing, strike him as a waste of energy that could otherwise be used to appreciate the 'finer points' of life. Incompetence: While it's true that he can wield incredible powers, the major flaw in this is that he has very little control. Even the simplest of magics turns to Fermat's Last Equation in his hands, while anything above 'simple' becomes an exercise in damage control. Attention Issues: Tor has a habit of doing his own thing, mainly because he's bored. Many things just don't hold a decent level of interest for him, so he's been seen to wander away on occasion. PART III Biography: Dressed in scruffy, battered armour and perpetually exploring the bottom of a been can/bottle, Toryu, to say the least, is a mystery. He was first spotted in the NorthSouth kingdom (HCa boards), just wandering the place and sampling many of the local beverages. He met a great many people during his journeys there, many of whom have now faded into the past. (Can't remember too much about it, lol). His most notable journey was the the heart of a castle, filled with the undead, betrayal and heart rending pathos. (The Fortress of... Whatever*) in it's walls, he was seen to demonstrate the true extent of his powers, accidently opening a space/time rift while firing a simple fireball. (While he wasn't aware of it, the fireball ended up in a nebula 4.7 billion years in the past. It's explosion led to the collapse of that part of the nebula, igniting a star and creating a system of 9 major planets and numerous smaller bodies.). Unfortunately for him, the sheer incompetence of doing that led to him beign pummeled into uncounciousness by a rather persistent giant. Sine his experiences in the Fortress, Tor has returned to his more traditional life as a beer hound. Typically found in a bar or tavern, he spends most of his time trying desperately to get drunk, for reasons unknown. Also unknown is why he never gets drunk. Many people have proposed theories on what he actually is. Some belive him to be the Lord of Chaos, others say that he's just the wrong guy in the right place. A few speculate that he is simple the antithesis of the Hero, the Eternal Loser, but the most compelling theory is that he is actually a deity unaware of his own position. Those supporting this theory bring up many points. Who better, they say, to be a god of something important than someone who doesn't know his responsibility? All he would need to do is look after it and administrate, while lesser creatures actually carry out when needs to be done. He's been observed to be surprisingly intellegent in subjects that you'd not expect him to be (Physics, for one). The sword he carries with him at all times is another mystery in his long string of them. One one hand, it's a blunt, dented and rusted sword with one edge having been hacked into a saw edge for some reason. It's dull and utterly unmagical. On the other hand, it's somehow incredibly sharp, despite having no edge to speak of. He simply calls it 'The Sword', but wether that's due to his lack of creativity or something more sinister is yet another mystery. A final piece of his puzzle is his pack. A small bag he carries at all times, it's belived to be one of the legendary Bags of Holding, simply due to the fact it holds a seemingly endless supply of beer cans along with lots of interesting trinkets he's picked up on his journeys. Recently, Tor has been spending most of his time near Tri-Link's Cafe (GXF), seemingly obilivious to the comings and goings of the people around him. During the events of Megiddo, he was no-where to be seen. Perhaps in the future, the mysteries surrounding him will begin to be uncovered, including the one that really bugs most people: why does he look exactly like Hayate? Neither of them have voiced an opinion on the matter themselves, so it's still a myst~ an enigma. *That wasn't it's name. But due to the fact no-one could pronouce it's name, it was referred to as the Fortress of... Whatever --- My first character. I really don't know that much about him, but he's fun to say the least.
